2022 – Concept design
For the Khoroshevsky Horse Breeding Farm project, the bureau designed a low-rise temporary accommodation sanatorium complex. The main aim was to realise contemporary architectural trends in a project that incorporated the context of the area. As such, the project includes 7 sites consisting of sanatorium blocks of various sizes, ranging from 400 m2 to 700m2, with their location depending on the distance from the water - the closer to Moscow river, the bigger the block. Public spaces dictated how the structures were situated: the street was a transitional space along the outskirts while the lane provided vehicular access to the eastern territory, and the wide pedestraian promenade and boulevard spanned the east to west and entrance to the river respectively.
Each sanatorium building includes 3 parking spaces on the ground floor and a kitchen and living room with dining area on the 1st floor while bedrooms are located on both the 1st and 2nd floors. For those sanatorium buildings of 700 m2, there are additional office rooms, cinema rooms and halls with fireplaces. A sauna may also be installed as part of the baths on the ground floor.
A linear promenade park naturally guides guests to additional lanscapded areas. On the eastern side, there is access to the river along with an amphitheatre and viewing platform. The concept also includes landscaping of the river banks, the slopes of which are to be terraced. For quiet rest, several platforms shaded by greenery from the wind and sun are provided along the promenade.
